The one stop solution for recycling farm plastic

What We Can Take

So that it can be recycled please sort plastic and cardboard by type into separate bags as below:

The EA requires that Spray and Dairy Chemical containers are cleaned by being at least triple rinsed. Foils must be kept separate - we recommend that members store these in triple rinsed large Spray cans for separate collection.

What We Can't Take

Unfortunately we are unable to accept incorrectly sorted Plastic & Cardboard for collection as it cannot be recycled.

We take a Common Sense approach to water and dirt. We acknowledge that the plastic you are recycling is coming from a farm and will inevitably have a small amount of water and dirt. However, we are unable to recycle significant quantities of water, dirt, mud or dung and excessively wet or contaminated plastic cannot therefore be accepted.

Bags need to be kept under cover when filling and when awaiting collection.

If we subsequently discover that your plastic has either not been sorted correctly or is excessively wet or dirty either the bag(s) will be returned to you or we will correct the problem. In either case we will charge you for the time and costs incurred.

We are also unable to recycle tyres or hazardous waste such as veterinary items, waste oil, asbestos sheets, AI gloves, batteries etc. Hazardous waste also includes any cardboard boxes into which rinsed spray cans have been put. However, if you call us we will help find a suitable outlet for you.

Tips

  1. Chemical Containers can be crushed under a fore-end loader or tractor wheel.
  2. Having filled a bag leave a heavy weight such as a big bale on it overnight to crush the contents and make additional space.
  3. A bag is full when its contents are level with the top.
  4. Don’t put rinsed spray cans back into the box as this creates Hazardous Waste which cannot be recycled.
